What's New in Entgra UEM 6.2.0

Release Date: 25th July, 2024

Entgra UEM 6.2 presents the following device management conveniences on:

Windows Devices

  • Microsoft Store Integration for Windows Devices: Publish Microsoft Store apps to Entgra App Publisher as public apps, allowing synchronization of app inventory. This integration ensures seamless and efficient management of free apps, similar to the approach used by Microsoft Store in Intune using Windows Package Manager.

  • Windows Update Management Enhancements: Advanced features to display available Windows updates and retrieve update details using the Windows Update Agent (WUA) API. This allows IT administrators to manage and control the rollout of updates efficiently with seamless integration within the existing system infrastructure.

  • Entgra Windows Agent Redesigned: Entgra Windows Agent now includes one-time password (OTP) and Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) enrollment. SCEP support facilitates easier, more secure, and scalable digital certificate issuance. This enhancement ensures a more efficient and secure process for managing digital certificates within the organization.

  • Advanced Browser Management Support for Windows: Implement browser restrictions using Microsoft Edge Browser policies to configure how Microsoft Edge runs within your organization. These policies cover a wide range of categories including Application Guard settings, content settings, extensions, HTTP authentication, identity and sign-in, kiosk mode settings, password manager and protection, performance, screen capture permissions, printing, proxy server settings, SmartScreen settings, and more. This feature ensures comprehensive control over browser behavior, enhancing security, performance, and manageability within the organization.

Android Devices

  • Wi-Fi AllowList/BlockList Policy: Implement Wi-Fi SSID restriction policies to control network connections. Devices cannot connect to networks on the denylist or must only connect to networks on the allowlist.

  • Enable/Disable Notification Panel in Kiosk Mode: Enable or disable the notification panel when devices are in kiosk mode. This feature provides greater control over user access to notifications and settings, ensuring a more secure and focused device environment.

  • Screen Usage Violation Policy: Implement policies to monitor and enforce screen usage violations on Android devices. Define rules to manage and restrict excessive screen time. This feature helps maintain productivity and compliance with organization policies by enforcing screen usage limits and appropriate device usage behaviors.

Entgra UEM Platform

  • Application Updates Monitoring and Management View: A dedicated view for monitoring and managing application updates. Enhanced visibility by displaying installation status across devices, groups, roles, and users without the need for manual device searches. Additionally, installation details now show a percentage report of installation details on device groups, users and roles. This update ensures comprehensive oversight and management of application updates across different subscription types.
